Welcome to Flour Child Bakery! My name is Anna. I am a home baker based in Frankfort, Illinois.
My Mission
I started making cookies with the intention to inspire joy, and my customers' joy continues to inspire me. I always strive to create the best product for my customers. As a home baker, I am uniquely situated to foster connections with my customers and create a one-of-a-kind product for any occasion.
All About Me
I have loved baking since I was a little girl. Anytime a birthday or holiday rolled around, I would jump
at the chance to bake cakes, cookies, and other sweet treats.
I was excited to start working for a friend's mom, who also runs a home bakery cookies business, in
October of 2020, right in the thick of the pandemic. She taught me everything I know about
decorating cookies. Her goal was to create joy and fun during such turbulent times with her cookies.
Her constant positive attitude during thick and thin inspires me to this day.

Over the next few years, I found myself baking cookies whenever I could. I baked nonstop over the holidays for family and friends. I graduated high school in 2022 and went away to college for a year to study music. Although I was away, I continued to make cookies when I was home.
Summer of 2023 changed everything for me. I was home from school and feeling burnt out. That didn't stop me from baking, however. I began selling cookies for graduation parties and birthdays. With some determination and a dream, I decided to drop out of school and start my own business. I started building my business and tackling orders head on.

Since the beginning of my cookie career, I have always been determined to bring joy to everyone who has my cookies. My mission is to create a product that people love. I am incredibly grateful to be able to do something that I love, as well. I wouldn't be doing what I am doing without the support of my parents, friends, and family.

I decided I wanted to go back to college in the spring. I am currently a student at ISU! This means that I will not be able to take any orders during school months. Not to worry! I will be back in business when the semester is over. See you in the summer!

1. I receive your order!
I accept orders via Facebook private messages, Instagram direct messages, email, and even on my website!
I will connect with you shortly after I receive your order to work out total cost, your pickup date, and any other questions you may have for me.
2. I create a plan to execute your unique vision!
Tell me your vision and send me any inspiration for your cookies, such as:

3. Leave the baking to me!
When you are happy with my designs, I get started bringing them to life! I bake my cookies as close to your pickup date as possible to ensure the freshest, tastiest product!
4. You pickup your custom cookies and enjoy!
I reach out with pickup details a day prior to your pickup date. Your cookies are individually wrapped, labeled with ingredients and allergens, and boxed up so they are ready for pickup (after I snap a few pictures!). Pickup your cookies on our agreed upon time and enjoy!
